Diary of a Cat
This is a diary, but not a regular diary. A regular diary is usually written for oneself, with no intention that other people should or would read it (unless, many years later, the author of the diary becomes a celebrity, and the diary is published…). This diary is written to record little sparkling moments in my life, express my feelings and thoughts about the world around me, and share my reflections of the past and the future. With you, who is willing to spend a few minutes to read a little bit into my world.
I have been fascinated by cats since childhood, and I was told that the cat is my soul animal. I admire how they move through life with elegance, enthusiasm, curiosity, and composure. I am blessed with the company of an exceptionally sweet kitty, Lyn (you will likely see her a lot 😛 ). Much as I wish my sweet kitty would actually write a diary so I can fully understand their worldviews, it seems that I have to be satisfied with living in and observing the world together with her, and sharing this experience with you.
This is a diary, so it is going to be informal – sometimes conversational, sometimes reflective, occasionally awe-inspiring, often psychological/philosophical, depending on the scenery in my life at that moment. If anything I write touches you and helps you see some different colors of the world, I would really feel delighted and honored. Polite, sincere, and respectful comments are welcome. Rude, bigoted, or hurtful ones are not. I reserve the right to all the contents posted, including all texts and pictures.
Let the journey begin~!
P.S.: This picture was taken in the spring of 2021, in Cuyahoga National Park (Ohio). It captured the meaning of “perspective” so perfectly: the waterfall as was seen by me through my camera, which was observed by someone else (well, my husband in this case). The object “waterfall” appeared similar but a little different based on the perspective: camera, my eyes, the eyes of my husband, or even other people around us. And the waterfall itself is not even aware of any of these observers. How incredible!
